Call Forwarding local ring tones and fax to email features

Local Ring Tones

You can give a truly local calling experience to your callers by selecting a matching ring tone from your settings.

By default your callers will hear the ring tone of your phone number that is set to receive calls from your Toll Free or Local number.

For example, if your ring-to phone number is in the USA (that’s the number you want your calls forwarded to) and you have a Spain Toll Free or Local Number, your callers that dial your Spain number will hear the USA ring tone by default.

However, you can change the ring tone by logging into your online control panel to change the ring tone to Spain, which will change the default setting and play a Spain ring tone to the callers instead of the USA ring tone.

Fax to Email

When activated, this feature will allow you to use your Toll Free number as a fax and will forward all incoming fax messages as an image file to your pre-determined email address. Please note that our Local Numbers are currently NOT fully compatible with this feature and may not receive faxes. Therefore, we recommend NOT using the Local Numbers with this feature and instead trying the Toll Free numbers.

Make sure to let your Toll Free or Local Number(s) be known by the people or institutions that will use them to reach you.  In other words, after your account is activated and you receive your new virtual number, you would need to distribute it or advertise the number so your callers would be able to reach you at the ‘ring to’ number you specified.

Bear in mind that while the Local Numbers can be dialed from any country in the world, Toll Free Numbers will only work when dialed from the respective country.

For example a UK Toll Free Number can only be dialed from the UK while a UK Local Number can be dialed from the UK, China, Germany, Bahrain or any other country in the world.

When your virtual number is dialed, our system will instantly forward the call to your ring-to phone number (this will be the phone number you assigned for incoming calls to be forwarded to).
