Italy Phone Numbers

Make a big impression and serve the Italian marketplace by getting an Italy phone number. Even if your office is located elsewhere, you can establish a local Italy phone number and have the calls forwarded to you in any country.

A Italian Virtual Number will divert your calls to a cell phone, landline, fax, PBX or VoIP number -in any country.
Why get an Italian Phone Number?

The reasons are as varied as the business types that use the service worldwide.

1  A company located in Spain may want to own and advertise an Italy phone number because they provide service in Italy.

2  A shipping company may want to appear as if they have an office nearby in Rome Italy but in reality the calls divert to a call center in India.

Ordering an Italian phone number with international call forwarding capability is an easy, cost-effective strategy that immediately places your business in Italy with a local or toll free Italy Phone Number. Calls are instantly diverted to any other global mobile or landline you designate.

International companies serving the Italian market.
For instance, a London company could order a Italy phone number for its Italian based customers to call instead of listing a traditional U.K. phone number. This simple step can eliminate a customer's concern about calling London due to international calling costs from Italy.

A mergers and acquisition company based in Switzerland may want an Italy phone number to make it easy for Italian partners to reach them easily in addition to having a local phone presence to compete with local Italy contenders.

Getting an Italy phone number is an effective strategy that instantly creates an impression in the minds of Italian consumers.

How to Get a Italy Phone Number
Obtaining a Italy phone number is a simple matter of signing up for one with call forwarding. You do not need a physical location in order to establish a Italian "office." By ordering a Italy phone number with call forwarding, you can designate where you want the calls to be routed. Your "ring to" phone number can be located virtually anywhere. For example, you could receive Italy phone calls in Spain, China, India, UAE, Singapore or any country, to a mobile phone or landline, PBX, call center or VoIP/SIP.
Getting the Most Out of an Italy Phone Number

Call forwarding service offers more than the ability to receive calls from Italy. When you take advantage of the numerous features available to you, your phone number can serve as a virtual PBX.

For example, online account management tools make it easy to: change 'ring to' numbers on the fly, create custom greetings, adjust how calls are handled based on the time of day it is in Italy.  For instance, have your calls divert to your cell phone in daytime and another number at 6pm automatically.  Or have all calls go directly to voicemail, and receive an email notification with the voice mail link.

Faxes are accepted by your Italy virtual number and forwarded to your email.  Extensions can be set up and IVR features enable you to be very creative and design your own custom voice mail system well beyond the default.

There are myriad Italian city area codes to choose from. Choosing a Italian call forwarding number that is the most recognizable would probably be Italy (800) (Toll Free mobile accessible), Roma (+39 06), Venezia (Mestre)  (+39 041), Acqui Terme (+39 0144), and dozens of other avaiable numbers.

Italian government awards €1.4 billion contract to extend fibre-based broadband
Italy’s large telecom market boasts one of the highest rates for mobile penetration in Europe, while the fibre-optic sector has seen significant development in recent years, both in operator investment and in regulatory measures to widen the availability of superfast broadband services. Broadband uptake is growing steadily as a result of fibre and ADSL2+ infrastructure upgrades, though the country still lags behind benchmark countries for average broadband access speeds. The government is investing €4 billion to provide superfast broadband across the country, with a major contract recently awarded to the utility Enel to roll out fibre in six regions.

The vibrant mobile market has undergone considerable changes since 2016. For some years it was dominated by three operators, TIM, Vodafone Italia and Wind, with the fourth player 3 Italia having steadily made progress with securing customers to its network. The owners of 3 Italia and Wind in mid-2015 agreed to merge their units, a process which gained regulatory clearance in October 2016. The new merged entity, trading as Wind Tre, began offering services in January 2017. As a result of the merger the market gained a new entrant in the form of Iliad, which secured access to spectrum and to Wind Tre’s infrastructure to enable it to offer services while its own network is being developed.

All providers operate LTE networks, and significant investments in network upgrades have led to considerable growth in mobile data and high-end applications. Telecom Italia has also trialled LTE broadcast technology and is cooperating with Huawei and Ericsson to develop a platform for 5G services.

This report analyses the key aspects of the Italian telecom market, providing the latest data and statistics on the country and the fixed network services sector. It also reviews the key regulatory issues including number portability and local loop unbundling. In addition, the report assesses the broadband market, including the burgeoning fibre sector, regulatory measures aimed at increasing the availability of services, and the status of government infrastructure in the sector. It also provides broadband forecasts to 2021. The report reviews the mobile market, including statistics, key regulatory issues, an assessment of mobile data services and an evaluation of the market following the merger of Wind and 3 Italia and the market entry of Iliad.
